(1451?–1506) at the
Plaza de Colón
("
Columbus Square
") in
Madrid
(
Spain
), built between 1881 and 1885. It's the western side of the square base, sculpted in stone in a Neo-gothic style by
Arturo Mélida
(1849–1902). Relief represents queen
Isabella
(centre) offering to pawn her jewels in aid of Columbus' (left) enterprise. At the right, a prayer kneeler with a crucifix. At the four corners of the base there are heralds below canopies.

), erigido entre 1881 y 1885. Es la cara oeste de la base cuadrada, esculpida en piedra en estilo neo-gótico por

(1849–1902). El relieve representa a la reina
Isabel
(centro) ofreciéndose a empeñar sus joyas en ayuda de la empresa de Colón (izquierda). A la derecha, un reclinatorio con un crucifijo. En las cuatro esquinas de la base hay heraldos bajo doseles.
