Description

Revolver, Seven-Shot, 32-Caliber, "Moore's Single Action Belt Revolver." Moore's Patent Firearms Company, Brooklyn, N.Y., Serial Number 60 with Decorative Scroll Engraving, C. 1861.

The revolver is marked " Col. Abrm. Duryee 5th Regt. NYSV." Abram Duryee organized the Duryee's Zouaves (5ht New York) in 1861 and fought at the Battle of Big Bethel. He was promoted to brigadier general on August 31, 1861.
