Overcast in the Philippines NLEX Connector Caloocan – España section – (The P23.2-billion elevated expressway Section 1 of NLEX-SLEX Connector Road - the NLEX Connector Caloocan – España section - 8-kilometer toll road - North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corp., on Monday, March 27, 2023 inaugurated the 5-km Caloocan-España Section of the NLEX Connector opened starting 12:01a.m., March 29, extending from the end of NLEX Segment 10 in Daang Bakal Street Barangay 25, Zone 3, District II, C3 Road, 5th Avenue,Caloocan to Gurenica Street, Barangay 37, Blumentritt and the España Interchange in Piy Margal Street, Algeciras Street, Firmeza Street and P. Florentino Street to along España Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila, has 2 wide lanes per direction and entry and exit ramps at C3 Road and España; it further connects NLEX Segment 10 to the end of Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Santa Mesa, reducing travel time from SLEX-Alabang to NLEX-Balintawak from 2 hours to 20 minutes; it interconnect with the remaining segment—NLEX Connector España – Santa Mesa section construction).
