English:
Results of the 1982 Northwest Territories division plebiscite and the 1992 jurisdictional boundaries plebiscite in the Northwest Territories, Canada, preparing for the formation of Nunavut. Although the rump N.W.T. opposed division, low turnout allowed eastern communities to win the day.
The two Nunavut communities of Kugluktuk and Cambridge Bay opposed separation in 1982, but supported Nunavut in 1992.
