ספר האורחים של מלון סלאנט ביפו נמסר לספריה הלאומית בידי צלה מזור בתה של חוה יערי ז"ל. הספר נשמר במשך שנים בידי צפורה בת משה סלאנט ובעלה ברוך תמרי והם נתנו אותו למשמרת לאברהם יערי ולרעיתו חוה נכדתו של משה סלאנט.

בית המלון נפתח בשנת תרנ"ג על ידי משה סלאנט שהיה נכדו של מנחם מנדל קמיניץ (משפחת קמיניץ היתה בעלת בית מלון קמיניץ בירושלים). בית המלון, ביפו הערבית, שימש מלון לרוב העולים דרך יפו, לאכרי מושבות יהודה, לאנשי ירושלים ולאנשי הממשל והצבא התורכי. המלון התקיים עד פרוץ מלחמת העולם הראשונה בשנת תרע"ד. על המלון ראה א' יערי, זכרונות ארץ ישראל (ירושלים, תש"ז) עמ' 903-904.
