Summary

The Neapolitans call "Cavalli di Bronzo" (bronze horses) these two equestrian statues facing each other. They were donated by the Czar Nicolai I to the King of Naples. Other four similar horses, made also in Russia by the same author, Peter Clodt von Jürgensburg , are on the limits of a Anichkov bridge on the river Fontanka in Sankt Petersburg in Russia. Pictures taken by Luigi Versaggi.
