. This Nishan Dhwaja (Flag) is the Hindu war flag anciently used by Kshatriya Bagale Thapa clan where Kalika Bhawani, the Istadevi takes the senior most position in the flag. All other ancestral and tutelary deities are summoned to ascend over the flag to assist in war victory for this clan. Badakaji Amar Singh Thapa had used Nishan Flag before war and achieved victories from East Lamjung Kingdom to Sutlej River in West Kangra, Panjab Kingdom. In modern times, the flag is used in ancestral worship. It contain the 12-pointed white Sun, 8-pointed white crescent Moon and seven 7-pointed stars. The Sun and Moon are derived as representation of blood relations from Solar and Lunar dynasty and the Sun lies on top due to the belief that Bagale Thapa clan patrilineally belongs to Solar Dynasty (Suryavangsha). The seven 7-pointed stars represent the ancestors of the clan, Saptarishis, Vayu (Masto Deities). Description about the Bagale Thapa clan and their Flag is given
