The
Big Four House
(also known as the
Big Four Building
), built circa 1852–1855, originally housed the Huntington, Hopkins & Company Hardware Store and the Stanford Brothers Warehouse. The building was refurbished in the Italian Renaissance style during the early 1880s. Eventually the structure was relocated to the Old Sacramento Historic District during the 1960s.
