THE PIONEER CENTER WAS BUILT IN 1968. ITS ARCHITECTURAL STYLE WAS DERIVED FROM THE INVENTIONS OF RICHARD BUCKMINSTER FULLER’S WHOSE FAMOUS GEODESIC DOME IS BASED ON THE IDEA THAT THE TRIANGLE IS THE STRONGEST STRUCTURE IN NATURE.
