| Source | This is a cropped and digitally repaired version of the image in the State Library of New South Wales as displayed on the National Library of Australia website . It was acquired by screen capture since the quality of the image available by downloading – of which Prison hulks Thames.jpg is an example – was so low. On account of the painting's age, its colour and light values were improved and some chemical blotches were removed. The upper area of the painting (cloud) was cropped out because it had become so dark over time as to overwhelm the rest of the image. |
