Summary

Description
English: Pay to Sit: seat spikes retract when credit card inserted, by Steve Mann, San Francisco Art Institute, 2001. A credit card reader was connected to a networked computer to permit the downloading of a seat license. The first license was free, and a global database was kept of all users, so that each user only got one free trial seating session regardless of geographic location. Device drivers written in GNU Linux for the card reader and server are available for download from http://wearcam.org/seatsale/
