Tarian milik suku Minahasa ini, dulunya dikenal sebagai tarian perang, gunanya untuk menghalau para musuh yang datang ke daerah mereka. Saat ini, tarian Kabasaran menjadi ikon budaya Minahasa dan Indonesia, yang sering kali ditampilkan pada acara besar, penyambutan tamu dan juga pada acara kebudayaan.
