Static display of an AN/FPS 508 radar antenna used on the Pine Tree Line across Canada during the last 1950's through to 1988. The antenna rotated at 5 revolutions per minute and could detect aircraft up to 200 miles away and at altitudes of 100,000 feet. This was an L-band radar (1220-1320 MHZ) and had a pulse rate of 440 pulses per second and peak power of 750 kilowatts. This antenna is on display at Air Force Heritage Park, Winnipeg
