- ID by: MPF "Definitely Pinus sabiniana . Note the smooth bark on the thin shoots; Pinus coulteri has much thicker shoots, with very rough, scaly bark, and also rather stouter leaves (when without cones, more easily confused with P. jeffreyi )."
