Summary

Description
English: Vieste's iconic sea stack Pizzomunno, seen from the sea, with bathers photographing each other at its base - showing scale. Pizzomunno is a huge sea stack composed of chalky, white limestone and capped with a tuft of vegetation at its summit. It is the subject of a picturesque local legend in which it is said to be the petrified form of a young fisherman of the same name, whose beloved Cristalda lies chained at the bottom of the sea. They are reunited for a single day once in every hundred years.

Si riuniscono per un solo giorno una volta ogni cento anni.
