Summary
Description Plaque honouring Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, on the house in which he died, in Croydon (UK).png |
English:
Plaque honouring Croydon composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
Unveiled on 30 December 2012 by Kenneth Alwyn, a conductor with a long association with Coleridge-Taylor's music. The unveiling brought to an end the year-long festival held in Croydon to mark the 100th anniversary of the composer's death. The plaque is mounted on the house in which he died (6 St Leonards Road (formally Aldwick), Croydon CR0 4BN). This photograph shows the curtains and rail in place for the unveiling, as it was taken on the day of the unveiling. |
