Description Platform9.75 - 2012.jpg |
English:
Platform 9¾
at
London King's Cross railway station
. A fictional platform from the
Harry Potter
books, the popularity of which led to the installation of a plaque depicting its supposed location along with a luggage trolley half-way into the wall. This popular spot for tourists and fans has had various locations around the station, and in 2012 was moved to the newly opened western departures concourse. It is situated close to platforms 9 and 10, below the walkway leading to the main building. The adjacent book store has the Harry Potter books on display in its window.
