English: Preserved Midland Railway 4-4-0 Compound No. 1000 at Derby Works.
Restored in all its original crimson-red splendour, ex-Midland 7'0" Compound 4-4-0 stands outside Derby Works. As BR No. 41000, it had been withdrawn back in October 1951 but preserved.
