Princess Charlotte. English Camp at Djouni Syria 1840. Shows Powerful RMG PW8043. A view of the ‘Princess Charlotte’ at the English camp at Djouni, Syria in 1840. The tents can be seen in the background on the right. A two-decker sailing vessel, probably the 'Powerful', is anchored on the left of the picture. During the Syrian operations, she was the flagship of Admiral, the Honorable Sir Robert Stopford when he was C.I.C. Coloured lithograph.
