Summary
Description Rafael Python 4.jpg |
English:
Rafael Python 4 air-to-air missile under the wing of F-15D
Baz
#957. The right wing shown here was cut off in an accident on May 1983, when the F-15D collided with an A-4 Skyhawk over Southern Israel. While the A-4 was destroyed the pilot of the F-15 managed to land on the nearby Ramon Airbase with afterburners on to compensate for the lack of lift.
