Description	English: A PNC Bank branch (historically known as Riggs National Bank , Dupont Circle Branch) located at 1913 Massachusetts Avenue , N.W. , (between 20th Street, Connecticut Avenue , and Massachusetts Avenue, N.W.) in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Designed by architect George Nicholas Ray, the two-story, Classical Revival bank was built in 1923 at a cost of $225,000. The site was previously occupied by Stewart's Castle , a Second Empire mansion designed by architect Adolf Cluss in 1873. The bank is designated as a contributing property to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
