Pictured: Air Defence Troop from 30 Commando Royal Marines carrying out live firing at the Marine Air Ground Combat Training Centre at 29 Palms, California.Some personell are armed with the Starstreak MANPAD Anti Air Missile.Littoral Response Group (South) have been conducting sub unit training the deserts of California to take on their US Marine Corps (USMC) counterparts later on in a peer-on-peer scenario.Their training is in the excellent, and truly vast, range complex of the Marine Air Ground Combat Training Centre at 29 Palms, California.The Defence Command Paper defines a Littoral Response Group as“A bespoke force assigned to a geographical area, that contains dedicated shipping, helicopters and boats”.
