Montreal Locomotive Works
. According to the SRM, it has a 660 horsepower McIntosh and Seymore 539 diesel engine which operates a General Electric generator. The electricity produced is 600 volts direct current which turns four traction motors driving each axle. This locomotive was used in
Sutherland
CPR train yards. This particular railway locomotive is a light switcher and was used to switch cars between tracks in the Sutherland train yards.
