English: Deployment of the Telesat-I (Anik C-1) from the payload bay on the first day of the STS 51-D mission. Near the frame's center is the antenna for Syncom IV (LEASAT) stowed against the U.S. Navy's communications satellite. This photo was take from the aft flight deck. Earth and blackness of space share the background.
