Description
English: Samuel Ruggles (1795-1871) was in the first Protestant missionary company to Hawaii in 1820. He first served in Honolulu, then Waimea Kauai 1820-8122, Hilo 1822-1828, Ka'awaloa 1828-1831, and Waimea Hawaii island until 1834. He is credited with bringing the first slips of Coffee to the Kona district in 1828. Kona Coffee is now an internationally recognized brand of premium coffee.
