Während der NS-Zeit heiratete sie im französischen Exil den Politaktivisten Bruno von Salomon (1900–1952). Beide engagierten sich in der französischen Résistance.

The German hat model, ad writer, journalist and photographer Doris von Schönthan (1905–1961) who became well-known during the Roaring Twenties in the Weimar Republic as pictured by Zander & Labisch and published in the culture periodical

No. 5 in 1927. During the Nazi regime she emigrated to France where she married the German political activist Bruno von Salomon (1900–1952). Both were active in French Résistance.
