Air Force Academy , Colorado Springs, Colorado Instructor, Major William Poteet pose for a photo on Oct. 7, while at Kona, Hawaii for the Iron Man Triathlon World Championships. The two U. S. Coast Guardsmen are representing their service in the grueling race that is both a mentally and challenging event. The competitors must complete a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike race and then finish with a 26 mile marathon all in one day.
