Description
English: The Sea Cadet Corps training facility "TS Venture" , on Ireland Island , the historical core of the Royal Navy facilities in the Imperial fortress colony of Bermuda , and the location of the Royal Naval Dockyard . The building, which is located to the south of the Royal Naval Cemetery, was constructed by dockyard artisans in 1857 as a an Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society hall, and was later a Catholic chapel (there was also a Church of England chapel in the dockyard, and a Methodist chapel on the northern side the Royal Naval Cemetery. The Corps has three units in Bermuda, all on former naval properties, and collectively the three operate as the Bermuda Sea Cadet Corps , though part of the larger British Corps.
