Description
English: Seal of South Hadley, Massachusetts , featuring the Mount Holyoke College 's first hall, a cornstalk to its left, and grain to its right. A banner below these reads Agriculture, Education, Manufactures , the town's motto, characterizing its economy up through to the present. At the bottom is the former Carew Mill (also known as the Texon bldg in its final years) and the Hampshire Paper Company Mills as well as the 1889 Hadley Falls Bridge . The Connecticut River may be seen just above the stars and years at the seals bottom; with the Hadley Falls Dam obscured from the vantage point of the seal.
