Sen. Loren Legarda holds a press conference on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, to deny reports that she offered the amount of P100 million in exchange for copies of the video showing the alleged break-in and switching of election returns (ER) at the House of Representatives in 2005, allegedly to cover up the supposed irregularities in the previous year's elections. According to Legarda, a group had tried to sell her the videos, for which she refused and instead asked the group to give her the videos for free to help her case, then pending in the Supreme Court. In 2004, Legarda ran for the position of vice-president but lost to former Vice President Noli de Castro, prompting her to file an electoral protest.
