The Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George is a head church of Serbian Orthodox. It was built between 1860 and 1905, after the old temple was almost totally destroyed in the Revolution of 1848/1849. The church was built on the place of older one, dating from 1734.

The Novi Sad Orthodox Cathedral is dedicated to the Saint George. Inside the church there are 33 icons on the iconostasis, historical pictures above both choirs, as well as two large throne icons.
