Description
English: Shergotty is the namesake of the martian shergottites and a very historic witnessed fall. This martian meteorite fell on August 25, 1865 in the Gaya district of Bihar, India known as Shergotty. The meteorite weighed 5 kgs and was retrieved just after it fell. Very little of this fall is circulating in private collections. 50 mgs from Hupe collection.
