Leonard Korir and Shadrack Kipchichir finish 14th and 19th respectively in the men's 10,000-meter run Aug. 13 at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Both Soldiers in the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program turned in their season-best performaces, with Korir finishing in 27 minutes, 58.65 seconds and Kipchirchir clocked at 27:58.32. Mohamed Farah of Great Britain successfully defended his Olympic crown by winning the race in 27:05.17. Paul Kipnetech Tanui of Kenya took the silver in 27:05.64, and Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia claimed the bronze in 27:06.27.
