Summary

Description
English: St Michael and the Devil, Coventry Cathedral The statue is on the east wall of the Cathedral[1] adjacent to the entrance steps and Baptistry window. When the artist, Sir Jacob Epstein, received the commission he was already 76 years old and did not live to see his finished sculpture in position - it was unveiled by his widow. Installed in 1960, it was cast in bronze by Morris Singer Art Founders. Kevin Croucher's photo shows it in its wider context: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/19036
