Passenger ferry S.S. Koopa at the jetty at Bribie Island, Queensland, 1912
The passenger ferry Koopa operated before World War II in Moreton Bay, Queensland, running pleasure cruises. In 1942 Koopa was commissioned to the Royal Australian Navy where she was used as a depot ship for combined operations training at Toorbul, Queensland, and later went to the Milne Bay area of New Guinea. Koopa was returned to her owners in January 1947.
