Summary
Description Sydney Ferry BURRA BRA 1928.jpg |
English:
Sept. 1928: Future HMAS BURRA BRA, at the 29th International Eucharistic Congress - Ron Hart.
402. The Sydney Harbour ferry BURRA BRA pre-WWII is prepared for a water procession taking prelates from Manly to Circular Quay for a great religious occasion, the 29th International Eucharistic Congress. As BURRA BRA was to carry the Sacred Host for the progress to St Mary's Cathedral, she was given a dazzling white livery, while other ferries simply had their funnels painted white.
