Summary

Description

Talbot-Lago Record (1948 - 1951) at Anet

Based on pre-war designs, the Talbot Record T26 was already launched in public in 1946. For the 1947 Paris Motor Show, in respect of the 1948 model, the bumper was modified and the headlights and fog lights were repositioned (lowered). The car in the picture has the lower front lights, suggesting that it was manufactured for or after 1948. A dramatic new three-box "ponton" body appeared in June 1951, and while there may still have been a few cars produced or sold with the "1948-style" body after that date, it is unlikely that the car in this picture was produced any time after 1951.
