English: The Terrace Club behind corps headquarters in Frankfurt (ex-IG Farben Building) was bombed in May 1972 by members of the terrorists of the Red Army Faction. Throughout the 70s and 80s, V Corps soldiers lived with the constant fear of terrorism. In 1982 alone, there were 68 terrorist threats against U.S. soldiers in Germany.
