Summary
Description The Artists' Rifles HQ - geograph.org.uk - 777821.jpg |
English:
The Artists' Rifles HQ This magnificent terracotta fascia befits the distinguished artistic corps which won 8 VCs in WW1 and numerous other honours during its existence between 1860 and 1939. Their motto, Cum Marte Minerva - with Mars (the god of war) and Minerva (the god of the arts), - was given a scatological rendition, not surprisingly. See
