| Description |
The Governor of Harar's mansion houses a small but interesting collection of historical and ethnographic items. While the Governor of Harar and the rest of the Ethiopian ruling elite were Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, this manuscript is a reminder that Harar is the fourth-holiest city in Islam. Harar, Ethiopia I've complied with restrictions on the use of flash, and taken photos only when permitted by the museum. |
