Summary
Description The Japanese-style Chinese noodle RAMEN of the restaurant RAIRAIKEN at Yutenji Tokyo.jpg |
English:
Some insist that the first
ramen
, i.e. Japanese-style Chinese noodle was served at the restaurant named
RAIRAIKEN
(1910-1944, 1945-1976) at Asakusa, Tokyo. Although the original RAIRAIKEN does not exist now, Japan has many ramen shops named RAIRAIKEN. One of them, YUTENJI RAIRAIKEN (at Yutenji, Meguro ward, Tokyo) was found by the Cantonese cooking master
Fu Xinglei
in 1934. Fu was one of the 12 Cantonese cooks who worked at the original RAIRAIKEN at Asakusa in 1910. This photo was taken at YUTENJI RAIRAIKEN on 16th September 2019.
