Summary
Description The New Globe and the Green Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 1530098.jpg |
English:
The New Globe, a historic pub in Mile End Road in Mile End built in 1821 and still surmounted by a globe. (There is an Old Globe further along the road which presumably pre-dates it.) It was originally the site of the New Globe Pleasure Gardens.
Beyond can be seen the RC church of the Guardian Angels and the Green Bridge pedestrian/cycle path in Mile End across the busy thoroughfare.
