Summary

Description
English: The former Thorpe on the Hill station
Even the smallest of stations were given quite elaborate treatment by the Midland Railway when this line was opened in 1846. Thorpe (from 1890 Thorpe on the Hill) is the only station between Nottingham and Lincoln (apart from Lincoln St. Marks) to have closed. This happened in 1955.
