Description
English: Our Lady of Victory Church was the first building to be constructed and completed in the new city after the Great Siege of 1565. It marks the foundation stone of Valletta and was built as a form of thanksgiving for the victory over the Ottomans. Grandmaster La Valette paid for the church himself.
