English:
Thurlby railway station (site), Lincolnshire
Opened in 1860 by the Bourne and Essendine railway, soon to become part of the Great Northern Railway empire, this station closed to passengers in 1951. The line crossed the road in front of the building. To the right, the line went to Wilsthorpe Crossing Halt and Essendine. To the left, it went to Bourne. The car is stood on the site of the signal box. As with other former stations on the line, it is now a private residence. |
