depicting the resurrected
Jesus
. Designed by
Millard Sheets
, it was installed in 1964 as a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Howard V. Phalin. Stemming from the fashion in which Jesus' arms are raised and its visibility from
Notre Dame Stadium
, the mural has become popularly known as "Touchdown Jesus".
