English:
The annexation of the Crimean Khanate by the Russian Empire turned into a tragedy for the Crimean Tatars, who were forced to leave their homes and emigrate to the Ottoman Empire. In total, by the beginning of the 20th century, more than a million people left Crimea and the Northern Black Sea region, as well as other territories of the Khanate.
