Summary
Description Two Party Ballot In New Jersey.jpg |
English:
This is a snapshot of the "Official General Election Sample Ballot" from the City of Summit, in Union County, New Jersey, in 2010. It is mailed to registered voters in advance of the election. It shows that there are no third party candidates -- only Democrats and Republicans -. In a two-party system, voters mostly have a choice between only two parties, since third party candidates are restricted from the ballot and are presumed not to win even if on the ballot.
