English: INDIAN OCEAN (Oct. 6, 2008) The Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199) steams through the Indian Ocean after conducting a replenishment at sea with the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72). Vella Gulf and Tippecanoe are supporting the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group which is conducting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
