Summary
Description Unit relations in the new SI black arrows to K.svg |
English:
The kelvin (K) is now fixed in terms of the Boltzmann constant (kB) and the joule. The joule is not shown because it is a derived unit defined by the meter (m), second (s), and kilogram (kg), which themselves are defined by the speed of light (c), the duration of the caesium-133 ground-state hyperfine transition (ΔνCs), and the Planck constant (h), respectively.
